Attention: Applications are not accepted after the deadline of 10 May.

AEGEE Election Observation is organizing a Mission to the United Kingdom in order to observe the European Union Membership Referendum scheduled for 23 June 2016. The Mission will take place from 19 to 25 June and include young observers from all over Europe.

In order to support our Mission on the ground, we are now looking for volunteer Local Coordinators based in different locations in the UK.

Local Coordinators will cooperate directly with the Mission Coordinators prior to the Mission and are expected to primarily assist them with regard to:

  • accommodation – our goal is to provide free accommodation for all observers;
  • orientation – including travel arrangements from and to London, as well as help with local transportation in the different locations of our deployment on the day of the Referendum.

Additionally, as the Mission includes briefings in London from 20 to 22 June, Local Coordinators should ideally be able to help us with:

  • the organisation of pre-Referendum briefings – including the organisation of meetings with stakeholders and candidates, social activities and logistics such as meeting spaces arrangements;
  • local fundraising and the accreditation of the observers with the national authorities in co-operation with the Mission Coordinators.

During the Mission, Local Coordinators assist with all aspects of it – including the deployment and social activities. They are also the main interlocutors for the observers. It is therefore highly desirable that Local Coordinators are present in their respective city during the Mission and in particular on the day of the Referendum.

In order to join our team of Local Coordinators, please apply here until 10 May, 2016.

Should you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at segolene.tavel@aegee.org or kseniya.dashutina@aegee.org.

We look forward to your applications!
