Event description
On the beautiful island of Zakynthos, in a country of sea and sun, there is a beach which is not like the others. One can see that the crystal waters are there, the sun is there... But there is also a shipwreck lying on the white sand, taking its place from the one side to the other!

In the summer of 2013, a message in a bottle arrives at the port of Peiraias. It goes like this:

"This is the story of a lonely traveler who saw every corner of the world trying to find the most amazing story. On this island of blue and white, where the people have lived and laughed and danced for thousands of years, the most amazing thing happened at the night of my arrival. The mystery is hidden at the very bottom of a pirate ship whose shipwreck can be found. The ones who will see the message are destined to solve the riddle.

They have to pass through different levels until the adventure is complete. The level of culture: You must find 35 people, travelers who will share their ways at a show night. Gather the information and reward the performance which will open the gate to the level of exploring. This level must begin at the capital of the country where democracy was founded. A capital full of ancient glory, where hospitality is a virtue from the past and a miracle of the future. Afterwards it is necessary to explore the beauty of the Ionian sea. Travel to the island of Zante and take the boat to the other islands around it. There you will find the last piece in order to fulfill this level and move to the next one. The level of taste: "Astronomy" is hidden in "gastronomy". Try the local food and drinks and the stars will reward you with the next opening. Then learn a local recipe. Since you can never stop eating once you try the local delicacies, this is a bonus to continue your adventure. One before last is the level of fun: Experience every aspect of nightlife, move the fun to the beach with beach parties. Be a part of many local festivals and learn how to dance like a local! Only then you will see the way to the last level: The level of friendship. Now that all the 35 travelers along with the message keepers have become an inseparable team, the answer to the mystery of the shipwreck will be revealed."

In AEGEE-Peiraias we have planned the way to Zakynthos. From the city of Piraeus and through Athens we will travel to the Ionian islands and fulfill every level of the adventure. Who will the 35 adventurers be? That's another mystery ready to be solved! Then the mystery of the shipwreck awaits!
Places visited
Piraeus
Piraeus has a long recorded history as the chief harbour of Ancient Greece. It became the Port City of Athens since the times of Pericles (5th century BC).

In the modern era, Piraeus is a large city, bustling with activity, acting as home to the country's biggest harbour and bearing all the characteristics of a huge marine and commercial-industrial centre. It is not only the chief port in Greece, but also the largest passenger port in Europe and the third largest in the world, servicing about 20 million passengers annually.

But what is most important: It is the home city of AEGEE-Peiraias guys!
Athens
Athens. The city with the most glorious history in the world, a city worshipped by gods and people, a magical city. The enchanting capital of Greece has always been a birthplace for civilization. It is the city where democracy was born and most of the wise men of ancient times. The most important civilization of ancient world flourished in Athens and relives through some of the world's most formidable edifices.

Today a cosmopolitan metropolis, modern Athens is central to economic, financial, industrial, political and cultural life in Greece.
Ancient Olympia
Ancient Olympia is the birthplace of the Olympic Games and Zeus' sacred place. Olympia has cultivated ideals since ancient times. It was never just the games, but also the honour, the peace, the struggle and the body - all in one. Visiting the archaeological site and museum, you will walk in one of the most important sanctuaries of ancient Greece. Situated in the landscape of Ilia, by the foot of Mt. Kronion (Kronios Lofos), Olympia invites you to take part of the history of Greece.
Zante Island
Zakynthos is also called Zante and is part of the Ionian Islands. It has beautiful sandy beaches with crystalline waters which attract thousands of visitors every year. Also it is famous for the endangered species of the sea turtle Caretta-Caretta which comes during the reproduction period to lay their eggs on the soft golden sand beaches of the island. The island is located south of Kefalonia.
Kefalonia Island
Kefalonia is one of the most popular destinations of the Ionian Islands and the biggest island of the group. It is located between Lefkada and Zakynthos. The Greek Island has many wonderful beaches with fine sand and turquoise, bleach-like, waters specific to the island. Others of its many beauties are its picturesque villages, its National Park on its highest mountain (Mount Ainos) on which a rare specie of fir forest grows and terrific landscapes.
