Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is called a "Miniature Continent" due to the different climates and variety of landscapes found, with long beaches and dunes of white sand, contrasting with green ravines and picturesque villages.A third of the island is under protection as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (28.121747, -15.434125):

It is a city and capital of Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands. It is the co-capital (jointly with Santa Cruz), the most populous city in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands, and the ninth largest city in Spain.
Las Palmas de GC enjoys a subtropical climate, with mild to warm temperatures throughout the year. According to a study carried out by Thomas Whitmore, director of research on climatology at Syracuse University in the United States, Las Palmas enjoys "the best climate in the world".

Teror (28.062026, -15.543468):

One of the oldest municipalities of the archipelago, it is very important for the islanders for being the place where the Virgin of the Pines (Patron Saint of Las Palmas Province) appeared in 1481. Every September, people from every part of the island go in pilgrimage Teror to pay back for the wishes the Virgin has come true.

Maspalomas (27.743532, -15.582364):

Placed in the south of the island, it is the main tourist place. From Maspalomas Lighthouse, to Playa del Inglés, we have a total of 5.600 meters of breathtaking beaches. On one side of the beach we can find Maspalomas Lake and Maspalomas Dunes, all of them recognised as natural protected areas.

Agaete (28.1013720, -15.7125561):

It is a small fishing village placed in the northwest of the island, and one of the most visited places in Gran Canaria during the summer thanks to the most popular celebration in the island, in which you will have the opportunity to be part of! We can also find “El Puerto de Las Nieves” from which we can see the “God’s Finger”, a rock formation which emerged from the sea creating the appearance of a finger pointing to the sky.
