Funtastic Four: Enter the Time Machine

Organized by AEGEE-Bratislava, AEGEE-Budapest, AEGEE-Praha & AEGEE-Wien

Funtastic Four: Enter the Time Machine Profile Picture
The missing components of the time machine are hidden in four capitals situated in the heart of Europe. Prague is the best place to start looking for the first component, but to find it you have to learn the bases of Czech language to understand secrets of a bunker. Moravia is other place made for bike trips and for perfect European Night. What can be better end of the first part than wine tasting in one of the famous wine cellars? Get ready to hike a little bit too! Second city to discover is Vienna, world known city for its musicians. Dancing lesson will be needed to fully enjoy Vienna´s famous discos where dancing is obliged! One of the most beautiful gardens Schönbrunn will be discover the next day together with Schnapsmuseum, where you have a unique opportunity to try Austrian traditional drinks. Have you ever wondered if it is possible to swim in Danube river? You will see at BBQ dinner in Vienna.
Bratislava is located only one hour away . The city with the third component hidden somewhere between the Castle located in the center and nearby hills. Slovak cuisine might be little heavy, but it’s also very tasty, get your stomach empty for delicious ribs and prepare your hands for creative workshops! Braver participants are welcome to try a jump from the bridge over the river Danube. Unfortunately we will have to use public transport to move to Budapest as soon as the time machine is still missing one last component. There we be prepared for you lake time spend with typical Hungarian food, kayaking and games. Before finding the last component you will have to find a way out of a Escape room and visit Buda castle. Little hiking at the end around Visegrád with tasting Gulash soup prepared by you. All parts of the time machine will lead us to finally put together the whole history throughout centuries of our four capitals.

The Heart of Europe, Prague, is a city of a hundred Spires, a UNESCO monument, and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Prague presents itself to you as a changeable city, which likes to alternate styles: it is romantic and successful, ancient and modern, but above all it is a city that is cosmopolitan through and through, and is used to welcoming foreigners.
It is time to get acquainted.

The city where the east meets the west, was center of the Habsburg empire for hundreds of years. In more recent times it has been elected as the world's number one most livable city.
Come with us for a stroll through the baroque gardens of Schönbrunn Palace, see the magnificent monuments and sights of the monarchy and relax at the Danube island from the exciting and colorful nightlife.

A small city of Valtice is situated in the East of the Czech Republic in a region called Moravia. This region is well known for its wine-growing, beautiful nature and welcoming warm-hearted people. Valtice forms together with the neighbouring manor of Lednice a UNESCO World Heritage Site called Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape.

Find this beauty on Danube river and feel the rush and pulse of slovak capital city. Enjoy the view of historical city center combined with many surprises that offers you. Bratislava will give you enough energy and inspiration for our long trip.

Budapest is one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. Split in two by the Danube River, Budapest is the result of the merging of three cities. Buda is the hill with the royal palace and an old town filled with baroque and gothic monuments. Pest, crossed by broad avenues lined with elegant neorenaissance buildings.
