Go wild in Tuscany! Profile Picture
The lucky participants of our Summer University will have the unique chance to experience all aspects of Tuscany, our beautiful region. You will start your adventure in Pisa, a small but precious town of art and renowned university city, (which is also very well connected in terms of low-cost flights). The adventure will continue in Florence, where world-famous artists like Michelangelo, Raffaello, Giotto and Leonardo, as well as the father of the Italian language Dante Alighieri and the father of modern science Galileo Galilei, lived and worked between the Middle Age and the Renaissance, making this city the most flourishing and influential cultural city in Europe at that time. After a few days of magic, we will move to the green part of this trip, that will take you to the middle of the Tuscan countryside, famous for excellence in wine production and other quality products that make Italy the most appreciated nation in worldwide gastronomy. But Italy is also a synonym for sun and sea, and that's where we'll spend the last days of our adventure: we'll be camping in Castiglione della Pescaia, a seaside location close to both Maremma Regional Park, one of the most important coastal natural parks in our country, and Giglio Island, a small piece of land with stunning beaches, nature and villages, unfortunately more famous for some years' ago shipwreck. The trip will end in Grosseto, well connected by train to Pisa, Florence and Rome. As AEGEE-Firenze, we're quite sure that it's going to be unforgettable and we'll do our best to make it real!
