Organized by AEGEE-Las Palmas

In cooperation with Civic Education Working Group

5 continents in 1 island Profile Picture
Leave behind all your worries and start training your swimming skills! You will wake up everyday in a paradise surrounded by water, while the breeze of the sea kindly touches your skin and your pockets fill up with sand and salty memories.
You will get to know one of the seven amazing islands that form our archipelago, a place where you can breathe the Canarian culture and its traditions, an island that emerged from the sea and is known as a miniature continent. During these two weeks you will be able to enjoy the brightness of our sun as if you were in the Sahara Desert of Africa, ride some wild waves of Oceania, leave your footprint in the nature of the Amazon Rainforest, and live this paradise with Europtimism, while doing some voluntary work, tasting the delicious Canary flavours, partying on a boat and getting delighted at the end of the day with the beauty of the sunset at the top of a dune.
Live an unforgettable experience at the hottest and most southern antenna!

Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is called a "Miniature Continent" due to the different climates and variety of landscapes found, with long beaches and dunes of white sand, contrasting with green ravines and picturesque villages.A third of the island is under protection as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

It is a city and capital of Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands. It is the co-capital (jointly with Santa Cruz), the most populous city in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands, and the ninth largest city in Spain.
Las Palmas de GC enjoys a subtropical climate, with mild to warm temperatures throughout the year. According to a study carried out by Thomas Whitmore, director of research on climatology at Syracuse University in the United States, Las Palmas enjoys "the best climate in the world".

Teror

One of the oldest municipalities of the archipelago, it is very important for the islanders for being the place where the Virgin of the Pines (Patron Saint of Las Palmas Province) appeared in 1481. Every September, people from every part of the island go in pilgrimage Teror to pay back for the wishes the Virgin has come true.

Maspalomas

Placed in the south of the island, it is the main tourist place. From Maspalomas Lighthouse, to Playa del Inglés, we have a total of 5.600 meters of breathtaking beaches. On one side of the beach we can find Maspalomas Lake and Maspalomas Dunes, all of them recognised as natural protected areas.

Agaete

It is a small fishing village placed in the northwest of the island, and one of the most visited places in Gran Canaria during the summer thanks to the most popular celebration in the island. We can also find “El Puerto de Las Nieves” from which we can see the “God’s Finger”, a rock formation which emerged from the sea creating the appearance of a finger pointing to the sky.
