AmsterdamThe capital city is one of the most multicultural and diverse places in the world. Amsterdam is packed with world famous museums, theatres, laid-back bars, friendly outdoor cafés, delightful restaurants and many admirable attractions. Amsterdam’s reputation has not only become famous by its: world-class parties, numerous coffeeshops and red-light district, it is also known for thousands of bicycles and a rich history still visible today as the medieval canals that cross the city centre. As a city with a beautiful and romantic scenery and a place on the list of world’s biggest attractions, there’s something for everyone in Amsterdam.
EnschedeIn Enschede you can find the coziness of the rural east. It has a rich industrial history, but with the best technical university housed in Enschede, it is most certainly not stuck in the industrial age. The university also brought a lively student scene to the city.
OldenzaalA catholic enclave in the mostly protestant eastern region called Twente. Just as Enschede you can still find some landmarks of the industrial age. The proximity to Enschede makes it perfect for a day trip by bike!
Zaanse SchansThe Zaanse Schans is an area in which the Netherlands of the 18th and 19th centuries are brought to life. The Zaanse Schans is a unique part of the Netherlands, full of wooden houses, mills, barns and workshops. Visit the dykes, the first supermarket, and take a look at the warehouse where clogs are made. You should be sure not to miss the cheese factory, and the various windmills.
UtrechtRight in the middle of the Netherlands, you’ll find it's beating heart: the city of Utrecht. The city centre is small enough to explore by foot, yet big enough to be filled with fashionable shops, bars, outdoor cafés and restaurants. Utrecht has a youthful population full of students which means a great night life. Enjoy the world's most beautiful canals, and get a good impression of the city’s medieval history and architecture.
