Well, the lucky participants of our Summer University will have the unique chance to experience all the best aspects of our beautiful region. You will discover the fascinating atmosphere and the stunning masterpieces of Renaissance, the mysterious traces of Etruscans, the rural life surrounded by a wild and beautiful nature typical of the Tuscan countryside, the breathtaking sunset landscapes on the Tuscan seaside and the crystal-clear water of Elba Island. And what about food? You will taste Italian cuisine specialties and learn how to prepare dishes such as pizza, pasta and tiramisù in special workshops. If this is not enough for you, thanks to our lessons, you will even be able to speak a little bit of Italian, to think and feel as a real Italian. You will also have the chance to party every night with a multicultural group of participants and awesome organizers, don’t you already feel tons of AEGEE spirit spreading in the air?! The birthplace of the Renaissance, Firenze is possibly the most beautifully preserved and artistically rich city in the world. Here, artistic treasures and architectural masterpieces of the past blend with ancient streets lined with elegant boutiques, peaceful parks, streetside cafes offering steaming hot espresso, unforgettable dining establishments and breathtaking views. Set in a valley on the banks of the Arno, Firenze is one of the best-known and best-loved cities of the world. Striking buildings, treasure-filled galleries and ancient churches attest to the nature of the Florentines to proudly display their riches for all to enjoy.
Arrival info: the possible airports to reach us are Firenze, Pisa (many low-cost companies fly here and it’s really well connected with Firenze), Bologna (many low-cost companies fly here and it’s well connected with Firenze), Roma (connected with Firenze both by train and low cost buses), Milano (connected with Firenze both by train and low cost buses).

Poppi

Countryside location in the heart of Tuscan nature. Here the group will enjoy the European Night and nice walks on the Tuscan hills.

San Vincenzo

Wonderful small city on the shining Tuscan coast. It’s well connected by train both with Pisa and Rome.

Elba island

Elba is the third largest island in Italy, after Sicily and Sardinia. It is famous for its crystal-clear water and breathtaking beaches. Napoleon was exiled on this island and lived there for one year.
