In this year you will get the third chance to catch the adventure of SUncity. The series continues without any deceleration. In this summer we are waiting for you to catch the fire in Turkeys favorite, Izmir. We are counting days for limitless fun, sea, history, parties and unique experience and looking forward to hosting 25 friends. For making this summer unforgettable you should come to the pearl of Turkey and join the adventure with AEGEE Izmirs quality. Izmir

İzmir is known as the pearl of Aegean region. . It is Turkey's third largest city and second most important port. Also, it is an important tourism centre in this region.There are lots of wonderful places to visit and if you want to have fun time, İzmir is the best province for you. The people are very warmblooded and they are famous with their hospitality. They are also friendly and helpful.

ALSANCAK:
Alsancak is the centre of shopping and fantastic cafes. There are modern buildings and attractive shops along the street and many people prefer to come here for shopping. Shops and cafes are located on streets and they are far from the main street, so people are not disturbed by the traffic.
Alsancak is the place that the teenagers prefer to go. Because there are lots of fantastic cafes and these cafes have delicious foods. Hilton Hotel, which is a great game centre for people from different ages, is also located in this district, so you can see families and a lot of people from different ages having fun together.

HISTORICAL ELEVATOR:
It was built in 1907 and restored by the municipality in 1993. Its height is 51 metres. On the top of the elevator there is an open-air cafe and a restaurant that offers you a delicious meal with a breathtaking view of İzmir and the bay.

CLOCK TOWER:
Clock tower is another symbol of İzmir and it was build in Konak Square in 1901. It is the heart of the city and it has become a meeting place for many people.

HOUSE OF THE VIRGIN MARY:
It is said that Virgin Mary had spent her last years there. It is located in between Selçuk and Ephesus. Travel agencies in İzmir organize daily tours to this place.

KEMERALTI:
It is one of the shopping centres of Izmir. It consists of narrow streets and here you can find jewellers, drapers, shoemaker, and shops specialising in all kinds of goods from leather to olives and cheese. The atmosphere of the buildings are very different from other shopping centers because, they have been actively used in Konak Kemeraltı since 19th century so the buildings are old fashioned.

SELÇUK:
It is 94 km away from İzmir. SeIçuk is the site, which consist of Ephesus Museum, a magnificent castle and the 6th century Basilica of St. John. The road to the resorts of Marmaris and Bodrum passes through Selçuk, also Kuşadası is twenty minutes away from here.

ŞİRİNCE:
Şirince is a small Turkish village. It is famous with beautiful white houses and wineries. Here you can taste and buy different flavoured wines. As it is very close to Ephesus, it is recommended to see both these places in a one-day trip.

Çeşme

Çeşme, which is 80 km away from İzmir, is a holiday resort with excellent accomodation and restaurants. Restaurants in Dalyan are the most popular places for eating fish and you can have dinner while watching the beautiful and clear Aegean sea. Çeşme has also got a wonderful night life to have fun.

Kusadası

Kuşadası is a touristic district in Aydın, which is 71 kilometers away from the city center. Due to the fact that Kuşadası is very close to the Greek island of Samos, its port is very attractive for the tourists. In addition to its beautiful beaches and marvelous sunset scenery Kuşadası is a night life entertainment centre too.

Didim

Didim, an hour drive away from the city centre of Aydın, is one of Turkey’s beautiful holiday destinations. It has a rich cultural heritage, golden beaches, and a coast of intricate coves, each a wonder of nature. The Temple of Apollo in Didim is one of the largest and best-preserved temples of the ancient world. There are few better beaches on the Aegean coast than the beautiful Altınkum, and it’s easy to hop on a boat trip to one of the picturesque coves to enjoy a swim. Fascinating ancient cities and gorgeous natural wonders await you.

Marmaris

Marmaris is a touristic place in south of Turkey. It is located in Muğla, which has an amazing coast to Mediterranean Sea. The sea is crystal clear and there are so many beaches. Sun shines during almost the whole year. In summer, tourists always comes here. Marine and fishing are improved so much. There are many fish restaurants that are famous around both the city and the country. Also Marmaris is a historical place. You can observe so many residual from old civilizations, cultures and religions in the Museum of Marmaris. Moreover, there is a huge harbor that improves trade.
