Have you ever visited a Belgian Brewery? Did you check already if the movie ‘In Bruges’ was really filmed in Bruges? Do you own a picture of you eating ‘Du pain, du vin et du boursin’ in a parc? Have you ever visited the European Quarters in Brussels? If your answer to these questions is no, it’s clear for which SU you need to apply this year because finally you have the opportunity to join us on a trip through Belgium and a small part of France to complete your bucketlist. In one week we will try to scratch every item off our Belgian-French bucketlist. To succeed in this challenge we will visit 6 different cities, sleep at 2 locations and most important of all we will need a strong teamspirit to stay motivated to make it to the finish! Be prepared for a very active week, full of new experiences and good food and drinks.

Lille
The beautiful capital of the Hauts-de-France region in northern France, near the border with Belgium. A cultural hub and bustling university city today. It was once an important merchant center of French Flanders, and many Flemish influences remain.

Leuven
The hometown of AEGEE-Leuven. Not only this! It’s also the home of the famous brewery Stella Artois, 50.000 students, an insect on a needle, a square with more than 30 bars and the city of our main sleeping accommodation.

Brussels
The capital of Belgium, of Europe and of AEGEE. Of course this very diverse city is worth a visit. Be prepared for a big mix of cultures, architectural styles, ages and languages.

Bruges
When tourists think of Belgium, they think about Bruges. With it’s beautiful historical buildings, waffles shops and water canals, Bruges earned the name ‘the Venice of the North’.

Antwerp
Already from the first moment you arrive in the city, you will be amazed by the beauty of the central station. Furthermore you can find here the second biggest port of Europe. Oh, and if you are looking for diamants, this city is the place to be!
