European Day of Environment: Actions

In 2008, throughout the AEGEE network actions were organised in the framework of the European Day of Environment.

Around World Environment Day there were activities in more than twenty-five European cities. Activities diverse in nature: in Moscow discussions about environmental issues, in Berlin a bicycle tour, in Nijmegen a lunch to give attention to the unfair distribution of resources in the world, in Ljubljana there are several activities for which your fee to participate is something recyclable. In Tekirdag they organised a conference and put recycle containers in their campus. And so we could go on..

The activities ranged from quite small to rather big, but all gave attention to the social, economical and environmental aspects of sustainability, and how we young people can take a lead in preserving our common future. Together they were the official kickoff of "Sustaining our Future", the AEGEE Flagship Project 2008-2009!!

In 2009 we will organise the second version. With the results and experiences of 2008 we can make it bigger, better and more influencial. But we need your help. Organise something with your own local!!
