Professor Dr. Adrian Severin


Professor Dr. Adrian Severin it’s not only a very skilled Law teacher, but also a great politician and diplomat. During his mandate as Minister for Foreign Affairs he imposed a different approach in Romania’s international relations, improving considerably Romania’s external position and image.

Present position:

  • Member of Parliament, Chamber of Deputies President Emeritus of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE;
  • Member of the Romanian Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe;
  • Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies – Romanian Parliament;
  • Commercial Law Professor at the “Titu Maiorescu” University – Bucharest;

Former positions:

  • Member of the European Convention for the future of Europe (2002-2003);
  • President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE (2000-2002);
  • Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs (1996-1997);
  • Deputy Prime Minister for Reform and Relations with the Parliament (1990-1991);



Professor dr. Albert P. van Goudoever (Utrecht University, Netherlands)


Professor dr. Albert P. van Goudoever is an experienced historian; he wrote scientific books and many articles on the history of the Soviet Union, Eastern European countries, especially on Romania, and on International relations, addressing also the Human Rights issue. He participated as member of its first Board in the creation of the School of Human Rights Research of Utrecht University.

Career:

1971 Lecturer, 1977 senior lecturer, 1987 associate professor Eastern European History Utrecht University;

1989-1992, 1994-95 Acting head of department History of International Relations;

1990 Honorary Researcher of the Historical Institute 'A.D. Xenopol', Iasi;

From 1996 Honorary professor in History, Babes-Boyai University Cluj-Napoca;

1999-2000 The Netherlands Visiting Professor, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (U.S.A.);

From 2001 Fellow, University College Utrecht;




Florin Dorian Dascalescu


Florin Dorian Dascalescu is the President of AEGEE-Iasi and the Human Rights Working Group Coordinator.

He’s a Law Master student and he is also teaching seminars in International Public Law and The International Protection of Human Rights at the Faculty of Law, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University, Iasi, Romania.

He was an intern for Amnesty International Organization in Paris in 2003 (3 months) and he published some articles concerning the European Court of Human Rights’s jurisprudence.
